Ash's comeback film and all that Jazz(baa)!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's big screen comeback with Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa after a hiatus of five year comes with a lot of expectations.

Last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish, Ash had reportedly picked Jazbaa for her comeback film after much deliberation.

Is the wait (and her choice of role) going to be worth it?

Well, while that will be known when the film hits the marquee on October 9, here's looking at Aishwarya's Top 10 hits in Bollywood so far.

Dhoom 2

Collections : Rs 82 crore
Box office verdict: Blockbuster

The second Dhoom installment marked Aishwarya's most glamorous and sexy avatar on the big screen.

Her pairing with Hrithik Roshan was much appreciated as well.

Jodhaa Akbar

Collections: Rs 62 crore
Box office verdict: Hit

While Ashutosh Gowariker's period romance was marred with controversy and production troubles in its initial stages, Jodhaa Akbar turned out to be quite a hit with the audience.

Another instance of her onscreen pairing with Hrithik working well.

Guru

Collections: Rs 45 crore
Box office verdict: Hit

The actress reunited with the director of her first film Iruvar -- Mani Ratnam -- for the widely lauded Guru.

While Abhishek Bachchan, playing the title character, walked away with most of the praise for his portrayal of an ambitious entrepreneur, Guru also marked one of Ash's better performances of her acting career.

Mohabbatein

Collections: Rs 42 crore
Box office verdict: Blockbuster

Aishwarya had no trouble registering her presence in a sea of six debutants and two stalwarts, as she waltzed in and out of frames as the benevolent memory in Aryan's (Shah Rukh Khan) mind.

Devdas

Image: As the ever bewildered Paro in Devdas

Collections: Rs 42 crore
Box office verdict: Hit

Aishwarya looked striking as the dignified Paro in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's retelling of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Devdas.

The Dola re ditty featuring her and costar Madhuri Dixit was a runaway hit too.

Sarkar Raj

Collections: Rs 34 crore
Box office verdict: Average

Sarkar Raj, fashioned after the Godfather films, somewhat failed to replicate the success of its predecessor, Sarkar.

But, costarring husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh in pivotal roles, Sarkar Raj did add some gravitas to Ash's repertoire of films.

Khakee

Collections: Rs 26 crore
Box office verdict: Average

The actress made her presence felt in this Raj Kumar Santoshi multi-starrer thriller that featured Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Atul Kulkarni and Tusshar Kapoor in important roles.

Ash managed to be noticed in Khakee largely due to the story and the big twist at the end.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Collections: Rs 25 crore
Box office verdict: Hit

The film that launched Ash in the Bollywood big league also starred Salman and the couple would go on to have a highly publicised and controversial relationship.

She was spirited yet dignified and uniformly in fine form as Nandini, the village belle who falls for an outsider, much to her classical musician father's disapproval.

Taal

Collections: Rs 21 crore
Box office verdict: Semi Hit

Aishwarya's natural beauty beautifully offset the scenic locations of Subhash Ghai's dreamy Taal.

We were also treated to some soulful music, courtesy AR Rahman and Ash's super fine dance moves.

Josh

Collections: Rs 18 crore Box office verdict: Average
leading lady playing sibling to a reigning superstar in Hindi films was almost unheard of a decade and a half ago.

But Ash took the role head on in Josh. While her onscreen romantic equation with Chandrachur Singh in the film was a bit of a damp squib, her screen presence and chemistry with onscreen brother SRK was crackling.
