Deepika Padukone has done multiple films opposite actors across generations.

From Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan to younger actors like Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor, she has tasted success with everyone.

Dips is all set to work with Hrithik Roshan for the first time in Sidharth Anand's Fighter.

Will they be lucky for each other?

Meanwhile, Joginder Tuteja looks back at Deepika's past pairings and sees who's been the most successful for her.

Shah Rukh Khan
Om Shanti On
Box office collection: Rs 80 crore
Chennai Express
Box office collection: Rs 227 crore
Happy New Year
Box office collection: Rs 205 crore

The man who gave Deepika a big break also saw his own last success with her.

Shah Rukh Khan trusted the debutante Deepika to deliver in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om and she proved that she was a leading lady in the making.

They came together in Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express, and the film was a blockbuster.

Farah cast them together again in Happy New Year and it took the biggest ever start for a Hindi film and the record was held for many years.

This is also the last Rs 200 crore hit that Shah Rukh has delivered.

Ranveer Singh
Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela
Box office collection: Rs 118.70 crore
Bajirao Mastani
Box office collection: Rs 188 crore
Padmaavat
Box office collection: Rs 302.15 crore

Deepika's on screen journey with husband Ranveer Singh has resulted in a hat-trick of big hits.

Interestingly, they have never been united in any of these films.

If in Ram Leela, they ended up dying in each other's arms, Bajirao Mastani had a tragic end too.

In Padmaavat, Ranveer played the villain who lusted for the much married Deepika, and she preferred jauhar to him.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed all three films.

Ranbir Kapoor
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Box office collection: Rs 188.92 crore
Tamasha
Box office collection: Rs 68 crore
Bachna Ae Haseeno
Box office collection: Rs 38 crore

Ranbir Kapoor's romcom Bachna Ae Haseeno featured two other ladies -- Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba -- besides Deepika, and it was a good success.

Things stepped up with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which became a major blockbuster and propelled the fortunes of both Deepika and Ranbir.

Later, the duo was cast together in Tamasha, the Imtiaz Ali film, which appealed to a select audience.

Saif Ali Khan
Race 2
Box office collection: Rs 100.45 crore
Cocktail
Box office collection: Rs 76 crore
Love Aaj Kal
Box office collection: Rs 67 crore
Aarakshan
Box office collection: Rs 43 crore

Some of Deepika's early hits were with Saif Ali Khan.

It all started with Love Aaj Kal where Imtiaz Ali brought the duo together and Pritam ensured that each song in the film was a chartbuster.

Cocktail saw even more success.

Deepika and Saif came together in a characteristically different film, Aarakshan, which was a Prakash Jha socio-political drama.

Then, Saif and Deepika were seen in the thriller Race 2, which scored a century.

Irrfan Khan
Piku
Box office collection: Rs80 crore

Shoojit Sircar's Piku was Irrfan's biggest hit in Bollywood.

The film showed off his softer side as he drives Deepika from Delhi to Kolkata, and eventually develops a close bond with her.
