There is no information about what the Narcotics Control Bureau asked Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone, who was questioned by NCB officers for over five hours.

Stories claiming she broke down 'thrice' during the questioning are false.

Deepika apparently handled the questions, posed to her by a five-member panel, well.

Apparently, she didn't give anything away, and the NCB is expected to call her for questioning soon again.

As for the information on the 'request' by Bollywood star Ranveer Singh to accompany his wife during the interrogation, a close friend of the couple informs Subhash K Jha, "Deepika may look fragile and delicate and that she needs her man by her side during a crisis but she's a very strong woman. She's capable of handling herself."

"She had gone through the possible questions at the NCB interrogation with her legal team the night before and she was prepared."

"It's a very tough situation for Deepika and Ranveer. But to suggest that she would ask her husband to be present during her questioning is way too wimpish a thought to be entertained by Deepika," said a film-maker friend of the actress, who is confident that she will emerge from this crisis.

So what did Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor tell the NCB when they were summoned with regard to Sushant Singh Rajput's death?

They said what they knew about the actor, of course.

The actresses claim to have seen their co-star consuming drugs, presumably during the films that they shot with Sushant: Kedarnath and Chhichhore respectively.

The revelations would only shock those who know nothing about the way Sushant lived his life in his last years. Perhaps it would also shock Sushant's family and lawyer, who have constructed their own narrative for what happened to Sushant, and why.

The truth may not be comfortable to those who have been baying for Rhea Chakraborty's blood.

The fact is Sushant had serious psychological problems during his closing years that he did not want to share with his family. And these problems had nothing to do with the way his career was going.

No one was snatching roles away from Sushant.

On the contrary, he was rejecting films regularly.
