Abhijeet Sawant, who was catapulted to nationwide fame after winning the first season of Indian Idol, is ready with a new music album titled Farida.

Based on Sufism, the album will appeal to music lovers of all age groups, the singer believes. 

While the album took two years to make, Sawant lent his voice to some Bollywood numbers including Happy ending in Tees Maar Khan and Bechain in Chittagong.
