It's like any other OTT gangster show with a lot of action, drama, revenge and cuss words, observes Namrata Thakker.

There's a lot going on in the trailer of Ekta Kapoor's upcoming Web series Cartel starring Supriya Pathak, Tanuj Virwani, Rithvik Dhanjani and Jitendra Joshi in lead roles.

The three minute video pretty much gives away the storyline of the series and it looks exciting with a lot of twist and turns.

At the same time, there are so many characters that after a point, it's hard to keep track of who's who.

Supriya Pathak plays Rani Maai, head of the Angre family who are involved in illegal businesses in Mumbai.

There are four gangs in the city and the only reason they co-exist in harmony is because of Rani Maai.

Tragedy strikes and the Angre family gets a new leader.

But who is it? You will have to watch the show to find out.

Tanuj Virwani and Jitendra Joshi play Rani Maai's nephews while Rithvik Dhanjani is her son, and they get the most screen time in the trailer.

Cartel also stars Samir Soni, Divya Agarwal, Pranati Rai Prakash, Monica Dogra, Sanaya Pithawalla, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Girija Godbole and Amey Wagh.

Story wise, Cartel doesn't appear to have anything new to offer. It's like any other OTT gangster show with a lot of action, drama, revenge and cuss words.

Supriya Pathak is definitely to watch out for. She seems to be in her element and gives out major boss lady vibes in the trailer.

Cartel will start streaming on ALTBalaji and MX Player from August 20.
