Box Office: Excellent opening for Baahubali

SS Rajamouli's magnum opus has got off to an explosive start at the box office.

In a rare scenario, the Hindi dubbed version of Telugu blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning has done really well at the box office. Much of the credit goes to the amazing special effects, making the film a visual treat.

The long delayed Sunny Deol and Kangana Ranaut starrer I Love NY opened expectedly to a poor response.

Trade analyst Vinod Mirani gives box office verdict for the week.

Baahubali: The Beginning

Cast: Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tammannah, Anushka Shetty

Director: SS Rajamouli.

What works: Great performances, terrific VFX.

What doesn't: Too long.

Number of weeks: New

BO verdict: Excellent opening
