Bollywood hailed Sridevi on her 55th birthday.

 

Janhvi Kapoor posted a picture of her mum and dad holding her.

 

Sophie Choudhry posted two pictures and wrote: 'May the heavens be celebrating you as do we'.

 

In another picture, Sridevi is with designer Manish Malhotra and Sophie.

Manish Malhotra, who was very close to Sridevi, noted, 'I Truly Miss You Very Much'.

 

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions -- which produced Janhvi's Dhadak and signed her for Takht, posted a picture and wrote: 'Remembering the first female superstar of Bollywood, #Sridevi. Her unparalleled beauty & talent is missed, but she lives on -- legends always do'.

 

Yash Chopra made Chandini and Lamhe with Sridevi. Yash Raj Films posted a picture, saying, 'Remembering the timeless beauty #Sridevi on her birth anniversary.'

 

'We remember #Sridevi on her birth anniversary. An actor par excellence, known for her versatility. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2013.' the Congress party tweeted.
