The hunt for Batman is finally over.
Oscar-winning director Ben Affleck has been reportedly roped in to play the caped crusader in the Man Of Steel sequel along side Henry Cavil as Superman.
With Zack Snyder returning as director, the yet untitled film marks the first joint screen appearance of the two superheroes and will hit theatres worldwide in July 2015.
Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will reportedly reprise their roles.
Production on the new film is expected to begin next year and will see a face-off between the two superheroes.
Man Of Steel, released in June this year, grossed $649 million worldwide.
