Thank God Bappa or Morya Re?

Bollywood has always celebrated Lord Ganesha with much fevour, especially with its songs.

As we celebrate the festival, here's looking at the recent Top 10 Ganpati songs.

Do vote for your favourite at the end.

Thank God Bappa

Thank God Bappa

This isn't a film song but Thank God Bappa can easily become the festival anthem of this year.

Starring Riteish Deshmukh in Star Pravah's music video, this Marathi song needs to be heard!

The song points out how Ganpati is not like us humans and that we should be thankful for it. It also says how we spoil our environment after the celebrations are over.

Bappa

Bappa song

This song, featuring Riteish once again, is from his upcoming film Banjo.

Sung by Vishal Dadlani, Bappa is your regular Ganpati song, with a lot of thumping beats and electrifying music.

Gajanana

Ranveer Singh

Gajanana from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Bajirao Mastani is nothing but Ganpati aarti with a twist.

Unlike most songs on this list, Gajanana is not a dance number but a devotional track. Sung by Sukwinder Singh, this song will take you to another world with its hypnotic and soothing music.

Hey Ganaraya

Varun Dhawan

Sung by Divya Kumar, Hey Ganaraya is from Varun Dhawan's dance film ABCD 2. Another ode to Lord Ganesha, this song starts off slow but then picks up the pace and gets you hooked.

The song is peppy and yet has a strong devotional element to it.

Govinda Aala Re

Jackky Bhagnani

Jackky Bhagnani's action film Rangrezz may have tanked at the box office but the Ganpati song from the film Govinda Aala Re didn't go unnoticed.

Sung by Wajid Khan, this festive number is fun to dance on. And we all know how catchy the hook line 'Govinda Aala Re' is.

Sadda Dil Vi Tu

ABCD

This foot-tapping number from Prabhu Dheva’s dance film ABCD is a visual delight. An ode to Lord Ganesha, Sadda dil vi tu has been sung by Hard Kaur and composed by Sachin-Jigar.

Ganpati Mix

Akshay Kumar

This number from the Akshay Kumar-starrer Boss was added to the film's music album at the last minute.

The lyrics of this song are quite similar to the title track of the film. The only difference is that Akki addresses Ganpati bappa as the boss in this one.

Though it will remind you of Deva Shree Ganesha song, it's still a good dance number with dhol beats playing throughout the song.

Deva Shree Ganesha

Hrithik Roshan

This devotional track from Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath is a treat to the ears, courtesy singer Ajay Gogavale's dumdaar voice.

Composed by Ajay-Atul, the nagada beats have been infused seamlessly into the song. Not to forget, the last one minute of Deva Shree Ganesha will give you a high with its repetitive aarti chants.

Tera Hi Jalwa

Tera Hi Jalwa

Sung by Wajid, this song Prabhu Dheva’s super-hit film Wanted features Salman Khan. It’s the perfect song to let your hair down and celebrate, just like Khan does in the film.

Tera Hi Jalwa has a desi feel, with quirky lyrics and fast-paced music. No wonder, it's popular across pandals even today.

Morya Re

Shah Rukh Khan

This energetic number from the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don: The Chase Begins celebrates the festival with pomp.

Sung by Shankar Mahadevan and written by Javed Akhtar, Morya Re is perfect for Ganpati and will get you grooving in no time.
