Baghban director Ravi Chopra passes away

Ravi Chopra with Amitabh Bachchan and Sameer Soni on the sets of BaghbanFilmmaker Ravi Chopra succumbed to lung cancer earlier today. He was 68.

Chopra had been admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. He passed away at 3pm.

He is survived by his wife and three children.

Son of filmmaker B R Chopra, and nephew of Yash Chopra, Chopra has directed films like Zameer (1975), The Burning Train (1980), Mazdoor (1983), Dahleez (1986), Baghban (2003) and Baabul (2006).

He has also produced films like Bhoothnath and Bhoothnath Returns.

He has also made mythological television shows like Mahabharat, Vishnu Puran and Ma Shakti. 

The funeral is expected to take place at 11am on November 13.
