Asha Bhosle at Madame Tussauds!

June 13, 2017 12:47 IST

Madame Tussauds honours the most recorded artist in music history.

Asha Bhosle will be on view at the Madame Tussauds gallery that opens in New Delhi soon.

The legendary singer's wax statue will be displayed in the Bollywood music zone alongside other leading singers in an interactive environment.

The zone will enable visitors to sing and perform with their favourite singers, we suppose, in a karaoke kind of setting.

Ashatai, who turns 85 in September, has sung songs for over a thousand films and recorded in more than 20 Indian and foreign languages.

The Guinness Book of World Records honours her as the most recorded artist in music history.

A Madame Tussauds team met with Ashatai and took over 150 specific measurements and images to create the wax statue.

'I am thrilled and humbled,' Ashatai said later. 'Having a wax figure is a completely ecstatic feeling and it's a new experience for me'

'This is the first time I have undergone a sitting and I must thank them for making it a unique and exciting experience,' the diva added. 'I am excited to meet my final figure when the attraction opens.'
