Two actors with a distinctly serious image -- Arjun Rampal and Irrfan Khan -- have decided to have some fun.
There was talk of them being together in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Jai Ramji Ki but it got shelved. Now, the two actors will be joined by a seriously funny actor Paresh Rawal for comedy, Aye Dil Sambhal Zara, to be directed a new director called Chandrakant Patil.
Apparently, the film is an unofficial remake of Basu Chatterjee's 1982 comedy Shaukeen in which Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dut and A K Hangal had played three aging men with roving eyes. In the new film, Raveena Tandon will play the object of affection among the three men.
Arjun, who has done poker-faced comedy in Housefull and Rascals, will be seen in a full-on goofy over-the-top avatar with 'cerebral' Irrfan Khan.
As for Raveena, who turned 38 last week, she's looking forward to having a ball. "I can't reveal the plot or its source," she says. "But yes, I am doing full-on comedy with Irrfan, Arjun and Paresh, three of my favourite actors. I enjoyed my comedies with Govinda. They were fun. I am sure this one too will be a super experience."
