The stage is set for one of the most awaited shows of Indian television: Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai Take 2.
Producer-director JD Majethia and the show's cast launched the show with a special screening in Mumbai.
"Indian fans are extremists. If they don’t like you, you are gone. But if they like you, they will never forget you. That's what happened with Sarabhai vs Sarabhai," Majethia says, adding, "There have been Sarabhai-themed parties as well."
The original cast of Ratna Pathak Shah, Satish Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly and Rajesh Kumar will be joined by Aishwarya Sakhuja and Urvashi Upadyay.
"We always wanted to bring the show back but we were scared if we would create the same magic again. The most challenging part was to create the sets as the previous season," Majethia adds.
Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Take 2 will return as a Web Series from May 16, on Hotstar.
The episodes, co-directed by writer Aatish Kapadia as well as Deven Bhonjani, will air on Tuesdays and Fridays, along with 'gag episodes' called Crazypanti of Sarabhai centered on one character.
