Anil, Aamir, Akshay: Bollywood's hottest silver foxes

Last updated on: April 29, 2015 08:21 IST

These men will have you believe that a grey-haired head really is the height of hotness!

Age may just be a number but showbiz is rather touchy about it.

Equating youth with desirability, our heroes desperately cling to theirs by romancing girls half their age.

Yet there are men (think George Clooney) who make ageing sexy and a grey-haired head the height of hotness.

Take a look.

Anil Kapoor

Till recently he romanced daughter Sonam’s contemporaries like Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor on celluloid but the dashing 58-year-old is all set to play a suave daddy to Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh in Zoya Akhtar’s ritzy family drama, Dil Dhadkne Do.

What do you think of his silver fox patriarch?

Jhakaaas, yes?

Sanjay Dutt

From sporting ponytails to going bald to rocking platinum-dyed spikes, Sanjay Dutt has done it all.

In the Kashmir-based action thriller Lamhaa, he wears his mane grey and gritty like only he can.

Amitabh Bachchan

No big deal to spot a man in his 60s flaunting a silver head.

But few can do it with the swagger and trippy attitude of Amitabh Bachchan’s lascivious mobster in the severely panned, Boom (2003).

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan’s salt ‘n’ pepper look and change of tempo as a reclusive painter in wife Kiran Rao’s wistful Dhobi Ghat attracted favorable attention.

The actor turns almost entirely grey-haired to play a wrestler and father of teenage girls in his upcoming project, Dangal.

Jackie Shroff

Regardless of what colour is his hair, exuding coolness is second nature for Bollywood’s beloved Jaggu dada.

Even when most filmmakers are too short-sighted to realise the true potential of his inbuilt debonair charm, Shroff shines through.

Akshay Kumar

Liked his peppery beard in Blue?

Now brace yourself for the dashing, sporty Akshay Kumar going grey in Brothers, Dharma Productions’ upcoming remake of Hollywood drama, Warriors co-starring Siddharth Malhotra.

Arjun Rampal

People either age or are reborn in Farah Khan’s kitschy Om Shanti Om.

Arjun Rampal plays the seemingly immortal villain to Shah Rukh Khan’s reincarnated avenger in this snazzy money-spinner.

Evil or not, the lean star looks wickedly good in his silvery white, pony-tailed tresses

Milind Soman

While on models-turned actors, it would be criminal not to mention the eternally dishy Milind Soman on this list.

If there’s a silver fox worth his salt-pepper hair in Bollywood, he’s our man.

Ajith

His Bollywood debut Asoka was a damp squib but Southern superstar Ajith is a rather BIG deal.

There’s nothing not to love about his swanky, silver-haired avatar in the Tamil action flick, Arrambam.

How long before we see Ajay Devgn or Akshay in its Hindi remake?
