A lowdown on what's happening in the Tamil film industry.

Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth

The latest buzz around Shankar’s Enthiran 2 is that Amitabh Bachchan may play an extended cameo in it. It is well known that Rajinikanth thinks highly of Amitabh and the two have been friends for a long time.

Reports claim that the Big B has shown interest in the script, but nothing has been finalised as yet.

Meanwhile, there appears to be some trouble with the signing of Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger as the antagonist. The actor was to be paid a whopping Rs 100 crore for his role.

The latest rumour doing the rounds is that Arnold is demanding some crucial changes in the script. He wants to hire Hollywood scriptwriters so that the film caters to the international audience as well.

The only official confirmation is that British actress Amy Jackson has been roped in opposite Rajinikanth. This will be Amy’s second film with director Shankar after the Vikram-starrer I.
