Trisha out, Amy Jackson in?

Amy Jackson

All efforts to bring Trisha and Nayanthara together for a film by director Vignesh Shivan of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan fame, seems to be in vain.

A fresh round of rumours hint that Trisha has backed out of the project and will be replaced by British actress Amy Jackson. Titled Kaathuvaakkula Irandu Kadhal, the film will be a two-heroine subject with Vijay Sethupathi playing the protagonist.

While Nayanthara, who shared a great on screen chemistry with Sethupathi in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan has been confirmed, there is no official announcement on the second heroine yet.

AM Rathnam will produce the film under the banner Sri Saai Raam Creations.

Shriya Saran not to be a part of Baahubali 2

Shriya Saran

Social media was abuzz with news that Shriya Saran has been roped in to play a significant role in the sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion.

The actress, however, confirmed that there was no truth in the rumours though she would have liked to be a part of the film.

SS Rajamouli’s epic drama Baahubali was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2015 starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty and Ramya Krishnan.

Rana played the antagonist Bhalladeva, the tyrant king in the first part and Shriya was to have played his wife, but this appears to have been a false rumour.

Shooting for the film commenced last December and the film is expected to hit theatres in 2017.
