January 04, 2017 15:18 IST

Aamir Khan is in the news for all the good reasons.

First, his Dangal bowled us over and we've been raving since.

Now, the actor has launched the Water Cup anthem, which has a beautiful video directed by Sairat director Nagraj Manjule. It asks drought-stricken villages of Maharashtra to participate in the 'Water Cup Challenge' to be held between April 8 and May 22.

Titled Toofan Aala, the song has been made for the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup 2.

Interestingly, Aamir tweets that the song introduces a new voice: Kiran's.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis attends the launch.

Aamir's ex-wife Reena Dutta lends him able support.

Sonali Kulkarni was also in attendance.

Sairat director Nagraj Munjule has directed the video, which features people from the villages of Maharashtra along with Marathi film celebrities.

Actress Sai Tamhankar makes an appearance in the video.

The song has been composed by Sairat composers Ajay-Atul (in the picture, left) and written by Guru Thakur. Actor Jitendra Joshi (right) also features in the video.
