'Action is done by John and me, no stunt double has been used'

Rohit Dhawan recently wrapped up the shoot of his film Dishoom at Mehboob Studios, in Bandra, a western suburb of Mumbai.

"It's the last day of shoot and we are shooting for a khufiya (secret) scene," Varun Dhawan says mysteriously. The actor plays the lead in his brother's film alongside John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez.

"It is an intense scene. Full of action, fast paced," adds Jacqueline.

Jacqueline, however, has not done any stunts.

"My role is fun," she says with a grin.

Dishoom is an action film, with light-hearted humour.

All the stunts in the film have been done by John and Varun themselves.

"No stunt doubles have been used," Varun clarifies. "This is the USP of the movie. We hope to release the making of the movie."

The young actor goes on to heap lavish praise on his senior co-star.

"I am thankful that I have John as a partner. He would go through the stunt first and then let me do it," Varun says. "It was like I had two brothers on set."

The only time John wasn't on the sets was when Varun sustained injuries!

While producer Sajid Nadiadwala has worked with the Dhawan boys' father David Dhawan, he feels working with the children is more of a responsibility.

"Working with Varun and Rohit is more of a responsibility. If anything goes wrong, David will not spare me. There's a pressure. I have worked with their father so I have to be careful," says the producer.

When Sajid started Judwaa in 1995, Varun was around five and Rohit was eight. The sequel to the film is currently on the scripting stage, and will star Varun.

"Rohit will agree that my father is only concerned with the audience reaction," Varun says. "You shouldn't cheat the audience. Rohit has that honesty in him. The story made me want to do the movie. I am happy that I can be a part of Dishoom."

But of late, there has been a buzz in the media that the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees may get postponed and the film could end up clashing with Dishoom.

When asked Sajid about the same, he said, "I don't think SRK will release Raees with Dishoom. There is no Eid or Diwali (during that time)."
