Abhishek promotes Bluff Master in New York

November 04, 2005 17:07 IST

Abhishek BachchanLong ago when he had visited New York for the first time -- he was studying then in Montreaux, Switzerland -- Abhishek Bachchan fell in love with the city almost at the first glance. Among many things, he loved walking across the city.

"This city is truly made for walking," he says. "There cannot be a dull moment when you are on your feet in New York. "This is the first time I am shooting in New York, and it has truly been hectic. But whenever I get a chance, I shake my security guys off and go for a walk."

Abhishek is currently in NYC shooting for Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, also starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal and his father Amitabh Bachchan.

And while in the city, he's also doing the publicity for his forthcoming film, Bluff Master, directed by Rohan Sippy, his buddy from his school days in Switzerland.

Rohan SippyThey had worked together on Kuch Naa Kaho, released over two years ago, which Rohan directed.

Abhishek plays a conman in Bluff Master, who runs out of tricks and he faces a few dilemmas.

Rohan, son of director Ramesh Sippy (Sholay), lived in New York for about a year after graduating from Stanford University. He did odd jobs including working in a coffee shop.

Bluff Master, which pairs Abhishek and Priyanka Chopra, was shot entirely in Mumbai. But given the passion Abhishek and Rohan have for New York, should we be surprised if they make a film in the city next?
