Aamir loses custody of his brother

October 31, 2007 17:24 IST

newAamir Khan's father Tahir Hussain has got the custody of his mentally unstable son, Faisal, from a local Mumbai court.

The court turned down Aamir's request stating it was the father's right to look after his son.

Aamir had appealed to the court that his father did not have the financial standing to take care of Faisal.

He produced documents of creditors to the court and also mentioned that he had divorced his mother Zeenat, and re-married. He also said that Faisal was not taking his medicines, and therefore, was in the present mental state.

Earlier, Faisal in his statement to the

court said that he took medical treatment because Aamir insisted on it.

"I could not work because I was kept under house arrest by Aamir Khan," said Faisal.

Faisal added that he was not allowed to be visited by friends and only a few relatives were allowed to meet him.

"I was scared of his name, fame and power," Faisal said. "I don't want to live with him, but with my father because he is a nice man. I have to return the sacrifices he made for me.

"I want justice. I want to be free," Faisal concluded.
