Aamir takes on Amitabh?

March 11, 2008 16:32 IST

Aamir Khan seems to be rubbing many shoulders the wrong way.

The latest we hear is that Aamir has refused to give clips of his directorial debut, Taare Zameen Par, for the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) function this year.

Why? Apparently, it's payback time for Amitabh Bachchan, the IIFA brand ambassador.

It all started when Aamir criticised Bachchan's film, Black.

The Big B did not take the criticism well, and retaliated by saying that the film must have gone over Aamir's head.

Aamir then wanted to mend bridges, and sought an appointment with Bachchan to resolve the issue. But till today, Aamir has not been granted an audience.

Now, Aamir has gone on the offensive. He refused to part ways with Taare Zameen Par clips for IIFA, just like he had done for the Filmfare award ceremony recently.

It's a known fact that Aamir does not attend any award functions except the National Awards and the Oscars. Will his films stop going for the award ceremonies too?
