The new year has started.

Television folk look at the year gone by, as well as the one ahead.

Kavita Kaushik

2015, the year that was: It was a roller-coaster ride. I went through an evolutionary process in my life -- from playing Chandramukhi Choutala, I did Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

It was exhausting, yet exhilarating.

But the most life-changing experience for me for my father getting cancer. So I could not enjoy the success I had achieved. By God's grace, everything is getting better.

What lies ahead: 2016 is going to be the best year of my life. I plan on spending as much time as possible with my family. I'm also looking forward to marriage.

Annup Sonii

2015, the year that was: 2015 has been a great year, as far as work is concerned. I'm happy that I could do both onscreen work and theatre.

What lies ahead: I have begun working for Ji Sirji, a comedy satire on BIG Magic. I want to hone my comic skills and explore this genre more deeply in 2016.

Upasana Singh

2015, the year that was: This has been one of the best year of my life. I had so many shows, with so many great actors and traveled across the world.

I anchored a show in Canada, which had Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. I anchored a show with Comedy Nights with Kapil in Canada as well. I did an amazing show in London, with two singers named Ranjit and Manjit. I did movies like Chalk & Duster and Wedding Pulav.

BIG Magic's Total Nadaniyaan was one of the most rewarding experiences of 2015.

What lies ahead: I would love to travel more, do more shows, meet more people across the world. Movies will be a special focus for me.

Reducing my weight will be my first priority. I have set of goal of eight kilos.

Varun Badola

2015, the year that was: I got appreciated for my work in Lete Hain Khabar. I had put in a lot of hard work and it paid off.

What lies ahead: My new year resolution will be to focus on pursuing my dreams.

I have a keen interest in music and will invest more time on it.

I also love riding bikes. I want to make it a serious hobby.

Sugandha Mishra

2015, the year that was: I got a chance to share the stage with Amitabh Bacchan, as well as performed in front of Dilip Kumar.

I got a lot of compliments from Lata Mangeshkar for my performance at an award show, in which I was Didi's avatar. I was appreciated for my anchoring in Comedy Ka Rocket, which was a superb experience. I did shows in the US, and they were all superhit.

What lies ahead: People will see a different side of me in 2016. I plan to launch a music album.
