Suriya is on a high. After his praiseworthy performance in Gautam Vasudev Menon's Vaaranam Aayiram, the Tamil actor is ready with two films -- Aadhavan, a film produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin (Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's [Images] grandson) under the banner of Red Giant Movies, and National Award-winning cinematographer K V Anand's Ayan.
Ayan is expected to be an interesting film, considering Anand's first film is Kana Kandein.
So also Aadhavan. Udhayanidhi Stalin's first production, Kuruvi with Vijay and Trisha [Images] in the lead, was a complete masala entertainer. The question is, has Suriya, an actor par excellence and not a commercial star like Vijay, moved on to masala films?
Be that as it may, what makes Aadhavan all the more interesting is its director, K S Ravikumar, who is directing a film after the stupendous success of Dasavatharam.
Acting opposite Suriya is "glamour queen of Tamil cinema", Nayanthara [Images].
Muisc is by Harris Jayaraj.
