Bollywood producer Jhammu Sugandh passed away this morning. The veteran filmmaker, who was in his late 50s, suffered a brain haemorrhage last night and was admitted at a Juhu hospital, in the Western suburb of Mumbai.
At around 11:20 am, he suffered another stroke, and passed away.
Sugandh is known for producing many films including Sanjay Leela Bhansali's [Images] Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's Aks [Images] and Buddhadev Dasgupta's Kaalpurush. His last project was Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, introducing Aamir Khan's [Images] nephew Imraan Khan.
Unfortunately, he suffered huge financial losses two years ago, and could not recover from that. The film was stalled for a year, and finally Aamir took up the production reins to save the film. Jaane Tu will now release on July 6.
