After a dream Hindi film debut with Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan [Images] in Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone [Images] may soon star opposite Tamil superstar Rajnikanth [Images] in Shankar's Robot.

According to sources, Deepika is being offered a huge sum to star in this Rs 100 crore venture. On the other hand, some people in Bollywood are advicing her against taking up the role because of the age difference between the 22-year-old actress and the 57-year-old megastar.

Another actress being strongly considered for the role is Aishwarya Rai [Images]. Ash had been considered for Shankar-Rajni's earlier venture, Sivaji: The Boss as well, but the deal fell through.
