The news doing the rounds in Karnataka is that the film industry's most eligible bachelor and popular actor 'Golden Star' Ganesh is set to tie the knot on February 18.

The bride-to-be is Shilpa, a Mangalore girl, who studied in Delhi. According to sources, Ganesh has been seeing Shilpa for the last two years. It seems that his love affair was known only to his closest aides.

Sources added that the family members of both sides met recently and decided on the wedding date. 

When contacted, Ganesh initially expressed surprise over the news. Later, he confirmed the news but kept mum on the date and the name of the girl.

Only a few guests are invited for the wedding, which will be solemnised at a temple in Brahmavar in Udupi district. It will be followed by a reception on February 24 in Bangalore.
