One week after Mumbai was attacked by terrorists, the city is still reeling with sorrow, fear, anger and helplessness. The Hindi film industry has been affected quite badly, as no one seems to be in the mood for the movies any more. Quite a few movie releases have even been postponed.
Surprisingly, one of the year's most-awaited movies -- Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi -- will still release on schedule, on December 12. This will be Shah Rukh Khan's [Images] first release of the year, directed by Aditya Chopra [Images], whose last directorial venture, Mohabbatein, was released eight years ago.
Adi Chopra -- who knows the pulse of the audience better than most filmmakers -- surely realises that people are not in the frame of mind for romance. Surely, SRK [Images] -- who is so media-savvy -- realises that this film will not get the publicity it deserves, as the focus, most obviously, is on the aftermath of the terror tragedy.
Do you think Rab Ne... should go ahead with its release on December 12? Are you looking forward to watching it in theatres?
Have your say!
