'The wait has been well worth it'
When we met first around the same time in 2005, your film was ready but you could release the film only now. Was it a long and painful wait?
I don't know whether it has been that long. I was not perturbed by the wait because this is not a formula film. Like Gita says, you have to lose a few battles to win a war!
The national awards were meant to come out a year ago. Now that they have announced it, we thought we would release the film. I feel the wait has been well worth it. I am happy that GV films have come forward to distribute the film now.
But we have been to several festivals in the meantime.
