Komolika is a greedy women, who marries Anurag Basu for his money. He eventually divorces her and she later marries his cousin Shubroto and creates tension in the family.
Meanwhile, Prerna gives birth to a daughter, Sneha. Anurag at first believes that Sneha is his daughter but a faked DNA report (changed by Komolika) proves otherwise. Komolika then kidnaps Prem, Prerna and Anurag's son) and disappears.
The story is now concentrating on the second generation, where Komolika comes back with a 'fake' Prem.
