There is a saying in Tamil Nadu that, through constant iteration, has become fact: Ask any including the youngest child who 'Superstar' is, and you will get only one reply -- Rajnikanth [Images].

Neither increasing age nor a decreasing hairline has caused the Rajnikanth magic to wane -- de facto membership in the legion of his fans is passed down from Tamil father to son/daughter, almost like a family heirloom.

But now his fans want more than that their "Thalaivar" is recognised as king within the state -- they will settle for no less than international recognition, in the form of a wax statue at Madam Tussaud's, which already houses replicas of Amitabh Bachchan [Images], Shah Rukh Khan [Images] and Aishwarya Rai [Images].

To this end, the Rajnikanth fan club has written to the authorities at the famed waxwork museum in London [Images], and to that have added an online petition that at the time of writing this has 6,000 signatories and counting.

What do you think -- is the demand justified? Does Rajnikanth belong in Madam Tussaud's, alongside the three Bollywood icons?

Write in to us, and we can forward your petition to the authorities!
