Underworld don Abu Salem's girlfriend Monica Bedi can heave a sigh of relief now. After having been acquitted by the Bhopal court in the fake passport case, she seems to be getting ready for a second innings in Bollywood.

This time, it's the turn of filmmaker Guddu Dhanoa who offered Bedi a role in his forthcoming film. "I have offered a role to Monica and have asked my agent to get in touch with her. It's a story which revolves around two girls. The film begins in Mumbai and ends in Rajasthan, " Dhanoa confirms.

Quizzed about the acceptance factor of Bedi in the film industry and among cine goers, all Dhanoa has to say is that there have been actors in the film industry who have been on the other side of the law at certain stages of their career but are still ruling the marquee.

"I had signed Monica for a film soon after my film Aflatoon, the script for which was ready. But because of certain reasons, the film could not be made," Dhanoa adds.

Bedi started her film career with films like Suraksha, Tirchi Topi Wale and Jodi No 1 in which she starred with Sanjay Dutt [Images], Suniel Shetty and Saif Ali Khan [Images].
