Mike Myers and Dana Carvey in Wayne's World
Adapted from a popular sketch of NBC's Saturday Live, this 1992 comedy is about two hosts of a cable access television show (called Wayne's World).
Directed by Penelope Spheeris with Myers co-writing the script, the film is full of whacky moments where Wayne and Garth's hobbies play center stage.
The film also led to the use of catch phrases like 'Not!', 'Party on!', and 'Schwing'.
Also lending mirth to mayhem are Rob Lowe, Tia Carrere, and Lara Flynn Boyle. Other appearances include Brian Doyle-Murray, Robert Patrick (spoofing his role in Terminator 2: Judgment Day), Ed O'Neill, Ione Skye, Chris Farley (his first film role), Meat Loaf, and Alice Cooper.
The film traces the fall out between the two hosts after their show is reinvented by a scheming businessman named Benjamin (Rob Lowe). How the two resolve their differences is hilarious.
