Finally Vishnu can heave a sigh of relief, and so can director Srinu Vaitla. After a series of flops, (despite dad Mohan Babu's attempts to promote him) Dhee looks like it could boost Vishnu's as well as Srinu Vaitla's (Andharivadu) flagging careers.

Dhee is not just a love story or an action film but has bits of everything. Like all Telugu films this season, this film too deals with the brother-sister relationship, starring Srihari as brother and Genelia D'Souza as sister. Then there is a youthful romance between Vishnu and Genelia with gang wars as backdrop.

Shankar (Srihari) is a notorious gangster of Hyderabad. In one of the gang wars he kills the son of his rival, which makes his sister Pooja, played by Genelia vulnerable to the rival's attacks. Pooja then goes into hiding.

Enter Babloo, played by Vishnu whose father requests Srihari to give him a job, which he gets. Entrusted with the job of counting money and making payments and setting accounts, Babloo tries to get into the good books of Srihari by modernising the accounts department of the den. 

He also gives him tips on how to launder black money by putting it in a hydrogen balloon!

While at the job, crosses paths with Pooja, who by this time craves for some company. Love eventually follows.

Parallel to this runs the story of Shankar and his concerns about his sister.

Vishnu has done a good job and this must be attributed to his part hero and comic image in the film, though a more toned body and a new hairstyle couldn't have hurt.

Genelia, as Srihari's sister, does a good job and looks great. However, the dubbing for her is poor. Srihari handles the role of brother and don very well, giving an edge to the script.

Srinu Vaitla's skill is apparent in every frame.

The comedy track by Brahmanandam and Sunil is rollicking, proving that the former is still the king of comedy.

The music by Chakri is good in parts. Two songs are quite hummable.

Fine screenplay coupled with some good comedy ensures you never suffer from a dull moment.

Dhee is worth your money.
