Great Films will be made only when we become a great audience," says French author Andre Malraux.

Enlighten Society, an NGO, has decided to do just that.

Launched on April 9, the film society is dedicated to the cause of promoting good cinema by screening great National and International films.

With entertainment as their main objective, the society would screen films of all genres ranging from classics to documentaries, foreign language films to Oscar winning ones and animation.

The society also hopes to help the new generation of short filmmakers. The Society in association with Cinemax will screen these films in six screens across Mumbai.

It will screen movies of directors like Akira Kurosawa, Satyajit Ray, Steven Spielberg and Alfred Hitchcock, Oscar-winning movies and world cinema classics.
