Tamil film superstar Rajnikanth [Images] has become a grandfather.

His daughter Aishwarya [Images], married to actor Dhanush, delivered a baby boy at a private hospital in Chennai on October 10.

The 57-year-old superstar, along with his wife and Dhanush's parents, visited the hospital to see the newborn baby.

After the success of the film Chandramukhi, which brought back Rajni as the leading hero of Kollywood, the actor was busy shooting for Sivaji under the AVM banner, directed by Shankar.

The film is expected to hit the screens on April 14 next year, Tamil New Year's day.
