The condition of veteran director Hrishikesh Mukherjee, who was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital with chronic renal failure, continues to be critical.
"There has been no significant change in his condition. He remains critical and is in the ICU on ventilatory support. He is responding to treatment, but it is too early to take a positive or negative stand on his health," says Vaishali Rajpara, Administrative Officer at the hospital.
84-year old Mukherjee, director of films like Anand, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke and Golmaal, was admitted on Saturday for pneumonia and spesis and has been in a critical condition since.
