Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh will be the chief guest at the award ceremony to be held on September 19 at Hotel Hilton Towers in Mumbai, a media release said.

Kamal Nath, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, and Jayantrao Patil, Minister for Finance and Planning, Government of Maharashtra, will be the guests of honour on the occasion.

Priyadarshini Academy, a prominent non-governmental organisation (NGO), has been holding the biennial awards function ever since its inception in 1984.

Other recipients of the awards include the non-executive chairman and chief mentor of Infosys Technologies [Get Quote] N R Narayana Murthy; former chairman and managing director of ONGC [Get Quote] Subir Raha; honorary dean and chief cardiologist at Bombay Hospital B K Goyal; dean of the Centre for Economic Research and Advanced Studies, IIPM, Professor Arindam Chaudhuri; executive director of the Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia Dr H S Dillon; and chairman and managing director of Financial Technologies Jignesh Shah.
