A much-anticipated New York press conference featuring actor Salman Khan [Images] on Monday was cancelled due to the actor's illness.
The press conference, which was scheduled to take place at the Park Central Hotel, just south of Central Park in New York City, was meant to promote the film Kyon Ki [Images], set for a Diwali release.
About twenty minutes after the scheduled start of the press conference, Avinaash Jumani, who is assisting in distribution of the film, told the half-dozen assembled members of the press that Khan was in his bathroom, throwing up.
One journalist asked if he could go to Khan's room and pose questions there, but Jumani noted that in his condition, Khan could not take any questions.
The press conference has been re-scheduled for Tuesday.
But members of the media have been asked to limit any and all questions to Kyon Ki, a subtle reminder that the actor was not interested in discussing legal issues, such as the hit-and-run case, which is slated to begin September 22 in Mumbai.
