What would a charity dinner be without stars?
Well, that's not a question the Reach Out To Asia launch has to worry about, as Qatar's most star-studded night promises to be truly massive. The guest-list, comprising international celebrities from the world of sport, showbusiness and politics -- not to mention royalty -- is as red-carpet as it gets.
Bollywood's own Shah Rukh Khan [Images] and Aishwarya Rai [Images] will be among the invitees gracing the occasion, and will be joined by Canadian rock star Bryan Adams. The singer is expected to perform a few of his songs for the special night.
The event, on November 16, is spearheaded by the Qatar Foundation, Qatar Airways, and the Doha Asian Games Organising Community. Their Reach Out To Asia fund-raising programme targets the underprivileged and disadvantages people across the continent, especially those ravaged by last year's tsunami and the recent earthquake in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India. Over the next few months, there will be a flurry of high-profile events in Doha for the same cause.
The November 16 event will also include a live charity auction of items donated by celebrities from the world of sports and showbiz, conducted by the London [Images] auction house, Sotheby's.
