Miss Canada [Images] Natalie Glebova was on Tuesday crowned Miss Universe 2005 [Images] in the pageant held in the Thai capital of Bangkok.

The brunette from Toronto was chosen from five contestants, including four from Latin America.

The 12-judge panel chose beauties from Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Canada for the final round.

Amrita Thapar [Images] represented India at the pageant.
