Australian pop star Kylie Minogue [Images], who underwent a successful surgery to remove a breast cancer, will fully recover from the disease, her surgeon said on Saturday.

"I am very pleased to be able to confirm that the operation was successful," CNN quoted Dr Jenny Senior saying after operating on Minogue.

"I feel confident that we caught the cancer in time and that she is now on the road to complete recovery," Senior said.

Minogue, 36, said on Tuesday she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer and postponed her Australian and Asian 'Showgirl Tour' concerts.

"Kylie has asked me to pass on her thanks once again to all who have expressed their love and concern for her," Senior said.
