Sharmila Tagore has been appointed the new Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification in place of Anupam Kher.

The actor was asked to quit but sources close to Kher claimed that he has refused to submit his resignation.

Kher will address a press conference in this regard in New Delhi on October 14.
