Ronjita Kulkarni | July 09, 2004 19:15 IST

Subhash GhaiThe latest trend on television seems to be national hunts for new talent, be it in India or abroad.

We have seen America search for the 'hottest' male and female and for talented singers. India continued the trend and came up with music groups Viva and Asma.

Now, on the heels of the Get Gorgeous national hunt for models, comes another one. Only, this one goes international.

Subhash Ghai is hunting for a heroine for his next film and Channel [V] is helping him!

Nicknamed [V] Discostar, the hunt for India's next Glamour Girl will be spread over India, the United Kingdom, and Dubai. Girls over the age of 18 with knowledge of Hindi are qualified to audition for the position.

Ghai says, "We will be creating a platform for hundreds of aspiring stars across the globe. I look forward to uncovering great talent and turning yet another dream into reality."

The auditions will be televised on Channel [V] after about five weeks, over a period of three or four months.

The final audition will be held in Mumbai and Ghai himself will chair the jury.
