Charged with stalking, making several calls and writing threatening letters to Catherine Zeta-Jones, Dawnette Knight, who is currently in prison, seems sorry.
The 22 year old has sent a single-page apology to Zeta-Jones and the actress' father-in-law, Hollywood veteran Kirk Douglas.
The letter calls Knight a 'confused young woman infatuated with Michael Douglas' -- Zeta Jones' husband -- who had no 'rational explanations' for her actions.
Knight hopes she will be forgiven, so that she can return to college and finish her studies in child psychology, reports People magazine.
Knight was arrested in June. Her case will come up for hearing on July 26 in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
