Ajay-Ash's historical love story!

He made an action flick with Ghayal. He made a social drama with Damini. He made a comedy with Andaz Apna Apna. He made a love story with Barsaat. He made a patriotic piece with The Legend Of Bhagat Singh. His soon-to-be released Khakee is a cop drama. Not to forget his ode to Akira Kurosawa in Chinagate and various avatars of women in Lajja.
Evidently, Rajkumar Santoshi is all for versatility.
Now, the filmmaker's long cherished dream is about to come true. Santoshi always wanted to recreate the historical love story of Prithviraj Chauhan and Samyukta on celluloid.
Years ago, Santoshi had planned the venture with Sunny Deol and Madhuri Dixit in mind. But now, the director plans to cast his current favourite Ajay Devgan along with Aishwarya Rai as the lead players, mentions a snippet in mid-day.com.
Santoshi, who is also producing Pritviraj Samyukta, is now researching the historic details of the story. He also plans to include international actors in the film.
Raveena gets ready to bite the dust!
After Karisma Kapoor, it is Raveena Tandon's turn to tie the knot. The actress will marry film distributor Anil Thadani.
Contrary to reports that suggested Raveena's marriage date as February 14, popularly know as Valentine's Day, b4utv.com reports that the mast mast heroine will take her vows on February 22 in Udaipur in her mother, Veena's wedding lehenga.
The website quoted Raveena saying, 'I will continue to work till I get bored or I have a baby.'
Rajshri scores a 50!
The production house behind blockbusters like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun.! now gears up for the release of the 50th film under the Rajshri banner.
Uuf Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai..!, which deals with Bollywood's favourite topic of love and friendship introduces Sammir and Pooja Kanwal.
Produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Rajkumar Barjatya and Ajit Kumar Barjatya, the love story is directed by debutant Manoj J Bhatia, former assistant to Sooraj R Barjatya.
Scheduled for an April release, Uuf Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai..! boasts of a soundtrack composed by Sandesh Shandilya (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Agni Varsha).
