Bon Jovi apologises to Beckham

rediff Entertainment Bureau | December 07, 2004 15:23 IST

Jon Bon JoviIn an effort to not escalate matters to yet another ridiculous celebrity tussle, singer Jon Bon Jovi has taken the peace initiative into his own hands, and waved the flag of tabloid truce.

Femalefirst reported that the musician has indeed apologised to David and Victoria Beckham.

What about? Because Jon called his baby son Romeo!

His wife, Dorothea, gave birth to their fourth child this March, and the couple loved the name Romeo, unaware of the fact that the England footballer -- celebrated for his varying hairstyles -- and the former Spice girl had already named their second son that.

Jon said, 'We actually called him Romeo thinking it was the most beautiful, original name in the world, only to find out that David Beckham had already chosen it. So we apologise to the Beckhams for that.'

Another christening battle won by celebrities and their constant struggle to be unique.
