rediff Entertainment Bureau | April 06, 2004 15:03 IST

Karan JoharAfter the stars descended on the small screen, it is now the turn of the filmmakers.

Karan Johar will appear soon on Sony Television's new serial, Yeh Meri Life Hai. But Johar confirmed to Mid-Day that his role was restricted to an interview in the first episode. The serial is about a girl who chants, "Main Karan Johar banna chahti hoon [I want to be Karan Johar]."

So Johar puts in a guest appearance by playing himself in the serial. The scene was an interview with the filmmaker on television, which would be seen by the show's protagonist.

On the filmi front, Johar is busy with his production which will be directed by his one-time assistant Soham. The yet-untitled, 'relatively songless' venture will be a thriller and stars Ajay Devgan, John Abraham and Shahid Kapur. The heroines have not been finalised yet.
