Renowned music composer Ravindra Jain has bagged the Maharashtra government's Lata Mangeshkar Award for his invaluable contribution to music.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 100,000, a citation, and a scroll, Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashok Chavan told a press conference in Mumbai today.
Jain has composed the musical scores for several hit films like Tapasya, Chit Chor, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, Ram Teri Ganga Maili and Henna.
