Model-actress Elizabeth Hurley's intention of staying close to her married boyfriend Arun Nayar are being fuelled by his family's gestures of approval for their relationship.

The latest involves a gift of two zari (gold-embroidered) saris worth a total of US $10,000, which Nayar's father Vinod sent to the woman he hopes will be his next daughter-in-law.

Vinod Nayar has been quoted as telling fellow guests at a recent social function in Mumbai, "Yes, they are getting married as soon as his divorce comes through. Elizabeth is a lovely woman and makes my son Arun very happy.

"We were delighted to have her stay with us. She was very charming and delightful. The whole family approves of her."

Hurley completely disregarded Nayar's Italy-born wife Valentina Pedroni and flew to Mumbai last April to seek the approval of Arun's parents, Vinod and Gunnar. They reciprocated by giving her the zari saris.

Meanwhile, according to British media reports, Hurley is purchasing a share in a private jet that will facilitate future trips to Mumbai.

The Mail on Sunday said the 36-year-old model had decided to pay US $320,000 for a share in a private jet that will allow her to travel on her own to wherever she chooses, provided it's not at too short a notice, in which case she may have to share it with other celebrity passengers.

Hurley has been criticised for check-in tantrums following a recent incident when she insisted that Nayar be upgraded from business to first class so that he could sit next to her on a flight back from Barbados to London.

Such embarrassing incidents will be relegated to the past once Hurley confirms her purchase of 25 hours flying time on board a US $27 million French-built Falcon 2000 executive jet.

A few months ago Hurley was treated to a test flight on a Falcon, which is sumptuously furnished with cream carpets and leather seats.

The Mail on Sunday quoted a friend close to Hurley as saying, "Liz absolutely loved the jet. It's a wonderful way to travel and she was very impressed. She flies a lot with her son Damian and plans to fly more frequently between London and Bombay.

"But she is upset at being spied on whenever she travels and wants more privacy and comfort. This will give her total privacy because customers can decide whether or not they want to be accompanied on the flight."
