Verdict on Karishma case to be out tomorrow

The judgement in the infringement of copyright between US-based author Barbara Taylor Bradford Entertainment began at the Calcutta High Court on July 16.

Karisma KapoorThe deliverance of the judgement by the division bench comprising Justice A N Ray and Justice J Banerjee would continue tomorrow.

Bradford, the author of A Woman of Substance, had filed a copyright infringement suit against Sahara Entertainment's Karishma-A miracle of destiny in the High Court and obtained a stay on the telecast of the Rs 60 crore serial on May 7.

The stay was vacated by Justice M H S Ansari on June 30 but operation of the order was stayed for seven days.

Bradford appealed against the vacation of the stay in the division bench, which extended the operation of the stay till the court gave the direction for filing affidavit or disposed of the petition, whichever was earlier.

Karisma Kapoor plays a key role in the serial.
